What Past Volunteers have said

We spend 2 weeks at the organization and we loved this expierence, wish we could have stayed longer. Savon & Savuth are really nice hosts, the food is very good and the rooms are comfortable. 5 days a week there are English classes at the primary school close by where you help to teach English, all those kids are so lovely and thankfull when you are there. And after school you help with the free english class for all the kids of the village at the property of the organization where you teach some English in a fun & playfull way. If you're looking for a place to make a positve impact, this is it!

Teaching at the organization was incredibly fulfilling. The children are eager to learn, full of energy, and their enthusiasm made every lesson special. Managing a large, talkative class was challenging, but seeing their progress was heartwarming. The school is in a poor rural area, and both the facilities and accommodation are very basic. It's a stark contrast to Western comfort, but for me, it was eye-opening and humbling. If you're ready to step out of your comfort zone and make an impact, the organization is a great place to volunteer!

Matt and the other volunteers were so lovely to meet and work with, we really appreciated the opportunity to go to the local school and teach English to the children 🫶 Thank you again! …

I’ve volunteered at ECC three times already, and I’m planning to come back again very soon! I loved each experience in different ways. The first time, there were many other volunteers and from day one I never felt lost. The second time it was mostly just me and I was a bit scared at first, but the moment I saw the kids, that feeling disappeared. They’re so special! 🥹 Don’t expect a 5-star hotel. This is a small, family-run community project, and sometimes it lacks the resources that bigger organizations have. But Savon truly cares about her community and about the kids, and she needs people to help her keep this project going. Without volunteers and sadly, without financial support, it would be very hard for her to continue. If you’re thinking about participating, don’t think twice. Just go, bring all your help and positive vibes, and get ready to meet the craziest, sweetest kids! You won’t regret it!

I only spent two weeks here but would've spent so much longer if I could! Could not recommend this experience more highly - the kids are so sweet and full of life, and most of them really eager to learn. You very much learn on the job from the other volunteers how to best teach and engage the kids, and by the end of your time you are teaching the next lot of volunteers, so it's an excellent opportunity to improve leadership skills as well as building patience, empathy and effective teaching skills. Anthony the host is so passionate about the organization, so easy to talk to and willing to help.
